Difference between the Classical and Spanish guitar method guitar method?
I'm a novice guitarist and am using a classical guitar known as a Spanish guitar. My dad gave me a very old (1935) "Spanish guitar method book 1 by Nick Manoloff. When I looked in his other titles was also his "Classical guitar method. Just wondering what the difference is they both have the same guitar.
A Flamenco guitar IS NOT THE SAME as a classical guitar .. even the strings are different. As I suggest you start a number of books MEL BAY (available online) and let the classic Spanish play and go for a few years until you master the basics. There is nothing wrong with learning on a classical guitar .. they are built, so you MUST use proper technique to get the best out of them and you can not say that for steel string acoustic guitars electric guitars. Stay with your guitar and learn the basics .. Then go from there. oh .. A good guitar teacher ... the dividend in the future ..
