Epiphone and Ibanez acoustic guitar?
I am looking for a great starting guitar, and I have been looking around on MusiciansFriend.com Ibanez and EJ-200CE Acoustic / Electric aroused my interest, the AES20E Ibanez Acoustic / Electric. what do you say about these two guitar brands? As I said, I'm just out strting, but I do not want a cheap guitar, I just wanted to buy a better and 2 years on the road. I was playing a Taylor guitar in a shop in the city and I loved it. i dont remember what kind it was though. So my question is how to compare an Epiphone Ibanez and Taylor? if none of these brands are good, what are some others then? ((please dont sugest fender or yamaha, i do not like either brand)) Thanks in advance PS I Love darker colored guitars, as mahogohny or black. some feature I like and solid top, 6 strings, sort of "different looking" guitars, as I said a dark colored guitar .... etc
Epiphone is a good alternative to Gibson guitars as they almost exactly the same as a Gibson. Ibanez is similar to Yamaha. Fender and Gibson are the highest quality, commercially available guitar. Because you're just starting, I'm sure you not played many guitars, certainly not enough to say that Fender is bad. In buying guitars, you should not forget that "what you pay for is what you get". If you played a $ 100 start, yeah, it will sound like nonsense, but you get what you pay for. I bet you that if you went to a guitar center and played the Telecaster, Stratocasters, and some of the limited series that approximately $ 400, you would certainly find that Fender guitars are as solid and great sounding as Gibson and Ernie Balls, and even more so than ESP, Ibanez or BC Rich. As you begin, keep your mind open to different brands. You will not find a perfect guitar, but one that fits you. For your acoustic or electro-acoustic guitar, I highly recommend Ovation and Gibson guitars. You'll see that Epiphones be made by the Gibson company, but their is a big difference. Ephiphones machine made in China (which is why they are cheaper) and the Gibsons are hand made here in the U.S.. Because they are handmade, they have their own sound and personallity, which is why they are great for acoustic guitars. Ovations are medium priced high quality guitars, the Gibson's much more expensive. Both give you the same quality. By the way, open certain brands of guitars, simply because you heard a bad sounding guitar or broken down, or someone told you they suck. Every guitar sounds different, even from the same make and model. This is because each tree is different, and So the sustain, tone and sound around is different from guitar to guitar. Play the guitar before you say you do not like, and even then you still would like a different guitar from the same brand and model. By the way, as advice from one to another guitarist: Never buy a guitar online. Since each guitar is different (like most amps) provide the exact guitar you intend are buying games. Also has a mahogany body does not sound good. It has a thick mat that comes from the show. Go for a dark stained maple. Looks similar and sounds great better. Mahogany takes twice as much (if you can find one already) and is limited only to its beauty. If you're just starting, is the best you can do buy a cheaper guitar. The This is what will you do when your bored of? Approximately 90% of the people who decide to play will put the guitar down and not get back after 1 years. I've bought several guitars, and never new. You know why? You can costly a cheap guitar (as new) from someone who've had enough and just gave. If you are sure you will never give up, buy used, otherwise, someone like me will buy your $ 800 BC Rich Warlock for $ 150 soon.
