I can mount my guitar hanger to dry wall?
I have one of those cars grab hercules guitar hanger systems and I do not know whether it is safe to simply mount the wall or if I was looking for a stud to screw into? Plasterboard is strong enough? oh and it is with a Les Paul and I do not know how much it weighs.
The Hercules Auto Grab Swivel Guitar Hanger (s) I found seem to be rated to hold about 7kgs or just over 15 pounds. I would think this would plasterboard amount of weight to carry safely. My concern about the plasterboard in the state of stress rehanging of the guitar and hanging with the relaxation time to treat. This guitar hanger could be drilled and placed in a pedigree if your concern for damage to your Les Paul, but I would feel as safe as the guitar hanger anchors hollow wall unit was placed under the hanging. I'm Plastic wall anchors Articles used between 35 and 50 pounds to keep range with great results. This was of course items that once were hung and hung and was not Rehungen like your guitar. All in all your safe, in my opinion, one way you choose but keep in mind with the hollow wall anchors you allow yourself more choice range for hanging.
