replacement guitar bodies

I just found that my guitar has a tremolo bridge, it is safe to use?

Alright so get this. I use my dad's old Ibanez starter pack Gio electrical, and other days he gave me some new strings to set up the first time in like 3 years. So I did that, and today I went to play and saw that the bridge was from the body, and was tilted at an angle of 45 degrees to the center of the body. I was like WTF! I broke it! unloosened quickly and the strings, and I looked at the bridge, did some research and found out the fine tuners and a tremolo hole must be that crappy thing came with a whammy bar and my father, his memory did not, forgot that he fell. Well now it's kind back to normal, and I get a replacement bar, but when I press on the bridge makes it sound different as a whammy bar. What I question is, is it safe to return to normal and utilize Floyd Rose or a simple tune with what a new whammy bar? I'm afraid of the bridge will pop out, as it did when I found it and break the guitar or something.

If not ya mind .. the model would be nice. If memory recalls, an Ibanez Gio have Floyd Rose locking streetcars, but have something of a 2 / 6 point trem syncronized. She looks more like a Fender Stratocaster tremolos than Floyd Roses. If properly set up they will keep quite well cast, nothing compared to a FR though. If I were in your position I would do one of two things. Well before that .. Go to this site, http://www.ibanezrules.com/tech/setup/index.htm Rich is one of the most famous Ibanez techs. This site will help you with most of the tech stuff .. If you decide to keep it afloat then you have to adjust and perfect zero where both your trem parallel to the body to be found, and the strings are tuned. This is likely a take time to do, especially if you're a first timer. The second option, which is one I recommend is that the trem flush to the body. To do this, turn the screw and guitar behind the plate. You'll probably see three sources connected to a claw, which is then connected to the base of the trem unit. Take a phillips head screwdriver and the screw two screws on the claw until the bridge is flush with the body. Can you just RETUNE without worrying about getting the perfect parallel. You lose if you pull this, however, vintage streetcars as yours do not have much pull. Well what you choose to do, it is better to learn now than to a tech, because you will have experience and learn to do for your after string changes. Oh and if the bridge means "fly" it will not break your guitar. If the two point synchronized trem found on the new fender, then http://www.chrisguitars.com/fen04show-hh-nos-features.jpg you are fine, they are meant to do.
